Download avast Updates

A feature of most of this programs is their ability to update themselves automatically. If you are connected to the Internet, virus database updates are downloaded and installed automatically without any user action. The availability of a new version is checked when an Internet connection is established, and every four hours afterwards. Update files can also be downloaded from these pages if required e.g. if your computer does not have an Internet connection. Updates are usually released on a daily basis.

Note: No reinstallation of the program is needed for virus database updates!

Kaspersky: Upgrade to Version 2010



Kaspersky Lab personal products do not upgrade automatically when a new version is released.Select your current product below and follow the steps to upgrade it.

Step 1 - Make sure you have a valid license

  • If your KIS license is ACTIVE

    You can use your current activation code (key file) with KIS 2010. The remaining time on your license period will be carried over. Now go to Step 2.

  • If your KIS license has EXPIRED

    You can purchase a KIS 2010 license at a discount when you renew your license online. Then go to Step 2.

Note: A KIS 6.0 license is not compatible with the latest version. To upgrade to KIS 2010 from KIS 6.0, please renew your license online whether your license has expired or not.

Step 2 - Download Version 2010

Once you have a valid license, you are now ready to download the KIS 2010 executable (.exe) file.

Step 3 - Installation

Note: Settings from the previous version will be lost.

    Instructions:

  1. We recommend that you uninstall the older version of your product, then restart your computer;
  2. Run the executable (.exe) file that you downloaded in Step 2;
  3. Follow the Installation Wizard instructions that appear;
  4. Restart your computer when installation is complete.

How To Update NOD32 Offline



In this tutorial I will tell you how you can update your NOD32 offline (without any internet connection). First of all, you need a PC with NOD32 installed in it, and the one which is up to date (for e.g. your friend PC who always update his NOD32). In that PC, go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET. (This path is hidden, to view this path go to Folder options > View > click on Show hidden files and uncheck Hide protected system files)

Now copy the folder updfiles to any storage medium either pen drive or CD. Than go to the target machine and go to the same path and replace the folder updfiles with the one in the pen drive or CD.

So this is all done, you have just updated your NOD32, Now you have to do a final step just open NOD32 from, and click on "Update virus signature database". And, you're done.

So for those who have got unlicensed NOD32, they can update there NOD32 by using this method, though I not recommend it, as you can buy the Original NOD32 at a very minimal rates.

NOTE: For Windows Vista and Windows 7, we can find updfiles at C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\Updfiles
